In cooperation with Derwood and the Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally, OHC will host the 2022 Devil’s Backbone Run. Our route guides us through the beautiful Texas Hill Country southwest of Austin, out the Devil’s Backbone Tavern and then back to the Derwood campground for X [the Band] and Reverend Horton Heat.  The ride is approx. 175 miles for 3:45 of riding time.

At 9am Friday morning, we will gather at the campground for pre-ride discussions and a quick safety brief at 9:20, departing by 9:30 am.  We’ll ride about 85 miles to Blanco, via Driftwood and Woodcreek, for a refuel pitstop.

Next, we’ll ride the iconic Devil’s Backbone Trail to Devil’s Backbone Tavern.  They are always happy to see us!  For lunch, Cowboy Kevin is cooking up hamburgers.  From there we will ride back to the campgrounds via San Marcos, Lockhart and Red Rock.
