Beale Street 01.jpg

Run Summary

On May 22 & 23 we are riding from Waco TX, southeast to New Orleans LA, through MS and north to Memphis TN, then turning southwest through AR back down to TX…more than 1500 miles in less than 36 hours. While on this run we will be encouraging our friends and family, as well as folks we meet along the way, to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Our goal is to raise at least $1500 and every dollar helps save a child’s life. Please help us support this great cause by following the link and give what you can.

Our Beale Street IBA Run is also an Iron Butt Association Bun Burner 1500 & Saddle Sore 1000 qualifier.  On Day 01 riders will rally up at OHC TX HQ to officially depart from Strips (Fueling Station) at 8256 N State Hwy 6 Waco TX 76712 on the morning of Saturday, May 22nd 2021.  We will take a southern route to start, heading through Houston and across the Louisiana coast.  At Lake Pontchartrain we will turn north, up thorough Mississippi to Memphis TN.

We will make Memphis our overnight rest stop.  We’ll grab a BBQ dinner at Rendezvous, a famous “Memphis style” barbecue spot downtown, and explore the iconic Beale Street area.

On Day 02 we’ll depart Memphis , crossing the mighty Mississippi River into Arkansas. We’ll ride southwest through Arkansas’s farming country and the southern edge of the Ozark Mountains, crossing the Red River back into Texas and concluding in Mexia TX.

Here are a few long-distance ridding tips from the IBA.

The full route is estimated to be 1,564 miles over 25:31 of riding time.
